Audit Committee Meetings

The Audit Committee is a special committee of the Metropolitan Council. The purpose of the Metropolitan Council's Audit Committee is to assist the Metropolitan Council in fulfilling its oversight responsibility for the integrity of the Council's financial and operational results, compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and performance of internal audit and external auditors.

The Audit Committee consists of six voting members. Three are Council members and three are external members with expertise in such areas as finance, accounting, auditing, information systems, management, operations or program performance.

The Audit Committee will meet at least two times a year and at the call of the Committee Chair.

Members of the Committee are: Lynette Wittsack, Metropolitan Council Member (Chair), Gene J. VanOverbeke, Director of Administrative Services, City of Eagan, Chuck Denninger, Internal Auditor for Anoka County, Dan Wolter, Metroplitan Council Member, Sherry Broecker, Metropolitan Council Member, Matt Smith, Director of Finance, Dakota County.
